AI-suggested

Upgrade QuickJS-NG to version 0.16.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

QuickJS-NG versions before 0.16.0 contain an integer overflow vulnerability in the js_typed_array_sort() function. This flaw allows attackers running JavaScript to trigger a heap buffer overflow on 32-bit systems by sorting a very large typed array with a comparator. The overflow can lead to crashes or potentially arbitrary code execution.
