AI-suggested

Users should upgrade to a version later than 4.62.0 once available or apply vendor-provided patches when released. Until then, restricting access to the wp-content/uploads/ directory and monitoring for suspicious activity may reduce risk.

Description

The Jupiter X Core WordPress plugin up to version 4.62.0 contains a directory traversal vulnerability via the 'file' parameter. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files within the wp-content/uploads/ directory. Due to existing path confinement checks, access is restricted to this directory and cannot reach sensitive files like wp-config.php outside it. The vulnerability has a medium severity rating with a CVSS score of 5.3.
