Users should monitor the vendor's advisories for updates. Until a fix is available, restricting access to the affected REST endpoint or limiting roles that can view the affected admin pages may reduce exposure. Avoid using affected versions (<=2.4.8) in sensitive environments.

Description

MotoPress Appointment Booking Lite plugin for WordPress versions up to 2.4.8 is vulnerable to a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw via an unauthenticated REST endpoint. The vulnerability arises because the 'name' parameter in the '/motopress/appointment/v1/customers/create' endpoint is not sanitized before database insertion and not escaped on output in the admin bookings list. This allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that execute when a user views the affected page, even if the user lacks certain editing capabilities.
