AI-suggested

Upgrade to SQL::Abstract version 2.000003 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Until upgrading, avoid passing untrusted array reference values to insert, update, or generate methods with the default array_datatypes setting. Review application code to ensure that user input is properly sanitized and that the array_datatypes option is enabled if array references must be used.

Description

SQL::Abstract versions before 2.000003 for Perl are vulnerable to SQL injection via array reference column values in insert, update, and generate operations. By default, with the array_datatypes option off, array references are treated as literal SQL, allowing unescaped input to be injected into SQL statements. This can occur when applications pass request data directly as column values, potentially enabling injection attacks. The vulnerability is fixed in version 2.000003.
