AI-suggested

Apply the official fix by updating LMFDB to include commit 01829bd09b692c720aad30c952758a20630573d4 or later. This patch addresses the server-side template injection vulnerability in the render_knowl function. Until patched, restrict access to the affected endpoint if possible.

Description

LMFDB versions before commit 01829bd contain a server-side template injection vulnerability in the render_knowl function. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to inject Jinja template expressions via request parameters, enabling access to Python builtins and execution of operating system commands with the web application account privileges. The vulnerability is critical with a CVSS 4.0 score of 9.3 and has been fixed in commit 01829bd09b692c720aad30c952758a20630573d4.
