AI-suggested

Upgrade Craft CMS to version 5.11.2 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Ensure that email verification is enabled to reduce the risk of account takeover. No other specific mitigations are indicated.

Description

Craft CMS versions 5.0.0 through before 5.11.2 have a privilege escalation vulnerability allowing unauthenticated users to reclaim deactivated non-admin accounts. This enables attackers to reset passwords and inherit direct permissions, potentially leading to privileged account takeover if email verification is disabled.
