Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: arraytics
Product: Eventin – Event Calendar, Event Registration, Tickets & Booking (AI Powered)

Description

The Eventin – Event Calendar, Event Registration, Tickets & Booking (AI Powered) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'etn_faq_content' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.1.15 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-12924 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Eventin – Event Calendar, Event Registration, Tickets & Booking (AI Powered) WordPress plugin. The issue exists in the 'etn_faq_content' parameter, allowing authenticated users with contributor-level privileges or above to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts execute in the context of users who access the injected pages, due to improper neutralization of input during web page generation (CWE-79). The vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 4.1.15.

Potential Impact

An attacker with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute in the browsers of users who view the compromised pages. This can lead to information disclosure and integrity impacts, such as theft of user credentials or session tokens. The CVSS v3.1 base score is 6.4 (medium severity), reflecting network attack vector, low attack complexity, required privileges at the contributor level, no user interaction, and impacts to confidentiality and integrity but not availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict contributor-level access to trusted users only and consider disabling or limiting use of the vulnerable parameter. Monitor vendor channels for updates and apply official patches once released.
