Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-12965 is an SQL injection vulnerability (CWE-89) in the Super Store Finder WordPress plugin through version 7.8. The vulnerability arises because the plugin does not sanitize a parameter received via an unauthenticated AJAX action before using it in a SQL query. This allows attackers without authentication to perform SQL injection attacks and extract sensitive data from the backend database.

Potential Impact

An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary SQL queries on the database used by the plugin. This can lead to unauthorized data disclosure, including sensitive information stored in the database. The vulnerability affects the confidentiality of the data managed by the plugin.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, users should consider disabling the vulnerable AJAX functionality or restricting access to it if possible. Monitor official vendor channels for updates and apply patches promptly once released.
