Technical Analysis

The Easy Appointments WordPress plugin before version 3.12.28 contains an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200). The plugin fails to perform a per-request capability or nonce check on one of its customer-listing handlers. As a result, authenticated users with contributor-level privileges can access and read every stored customer's personal information. This issue affects versions up to and including 3.12.26. There is no vendor advisory or patch information provided, and no known exploits in the wild have been reported.

Potential Impact

Authenticated users with contributor-level access can read all stored customers' personal information. The vulnerability does not affect system integrity or availability. The impact is limited to confidentiality exposure of customer data.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict contributor-level access to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious activity related to customer data access.
