Published: 09/23/2026 (09/23/2026, 06:00:14 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Product: divi-dash

Description

The divi-dash WordPress plugin before 1.0.7 does not validate the source of the client IP address it uses for rate limiting and banning, allowing unauthenticated attackers to spoof arbitrary IP addresses in order to bypass rate limiting, ban chosen addresses from the feature, and grow a stored option without bound, resulting in denial of service.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-14321 is an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability (CWE-400) in the divi-dash WordPress plugin prior to version 1.0.7. The plugin fails to validate the source of client IP addresses used in its rate limiting and banning mechanisms. Attackers can exploit this by spoofing arbitrary IP addresses to evade rate limits, ban specific IPs, and cause the plugin's stored options to grow without limit, resulting in denial of service conditions.

Potential Impact

An attacker can bypass rate limiting and ban arbitrary IP addresses, disrupting normal plugin functionality. The unbounded growth of stored options can exhaust server resources, causing denial of service to legitimate users or the site itself.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade the divi-dash plugin to version 1.0.7 or later where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation steps are indicated.
