Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-14733 identifies a SQL injection vulnerability in SourceCodester Class and Exam Timetabling System 1.0. The flaw exists in the processing of the ID argument within the /edit_coursea.php script, enabling remote attackers to manipulate SQL queries. The vulnerability is confirmed publicly with no known exploits in the wild. The CVSS 4.0 vector indicates network attack vector, low attack complexity, no privileges or user interaction required, and low impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL commands on the backend database. This may lead to unauthorized data access or modification. However, the impact is rated medium due to the limited scope of confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts as indicated by the CVSS vector.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or remediation is currently available for this vulnerability. Users should monitor the vendor's advisory channels for updates. Until a fix is released, consider restricting access to the affected endpoint and applying web application firewall rules to detect and block SQL injection attempts targeting the ID parameter.
