Description

The AI Engine – The Chatbot, AI Framework & MCP for WordPress plugin is affected by a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in all versions up to and including 3.6.5. This vulnerability arises from missing or incorrect nonce validation in the reauth_for_authorize function. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this flaw by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, enabling the creation of new administrator accounts with attacker-supplied credentials via a CSRF-based REST authentication bypass. The attack leverages WordPress's ?_method=POST method-override to convert a GET request into an authenticated POST request to the REST users endpoint without requiring an existing attacker account.
