Technical Analysis

This vulnerability in mosaxiv clawlet (versions 0.2.0 through 0.2.10) involves missing authorization checks in the list/remove function of the cron Chat Tool component (tools/tool_cron.go). The lack of proper authorization allows remote attackers to manipulate these functions without required privileges. The issue has been publicly disclosed with an exploit available, but the vendor has closed the related GitHub issue with a "not planned" label, indicating no official fix is expected.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows remote attackers with low privileges to perform unauthorized list or remove operations in the cron Chat Tool component. This could lead to unauthorized manipulation of scheduled tasks or related data. The CVSS 4.0 base score is 5.3 (medium), reflecting network attack vector, low attack complexity, no user interaction, and limited confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official fix or patch is currently planned or available from the vendor. Users should consider alternative mitigations such as restricting network access to the affected component, applying compensating controls, or avoiding use of the vulnerable versions. Monitor vendor channels for any future updates.
