Technical Analysis

The Salon Booking System WordPress plugin through version 10.30.33 contains an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200) due to improper validation of booking ownership tokens. Attackers can supply sequential booking identifiers to retrieve booking records that belong to other customers without authentication. This results in unauthorized disclosure of personal information stored in booking records.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can disclose personal information of other customers by exploiting the lack of proper ownership token validation. This compromises the confidentiality of customer booking data within the affected plugin versions.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the booking confirmation steps or implement additional access controls to prevent unauthorized access to booking records.
