Until a fix is applied, restrict access to the API Connect management interfaces to trusted users and networks, and carefully validate imported service definitions to avoid untrusted external references.
Description
CVE-2026-17188 is a high-severity server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in IBM API Connect versions 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2. The flaw occurs because service definitions imported into the product do not sufficiently restrict references to external resources, allowing a remote authenticated attacker to cause the server to make unauthorized requests. This can lead to the disclosure of sensitive information.
