Technical Analysis

The Events Manager WordPress plugin versions before 7.4.1 contain a SQL injection vulnerability (CWE-89) due to improper sanitization and escaping of user input used in SQL statements. This vulnerability enables users with subscriber or higher privileges to manipulate booking consent records belonging to other users by injecting malicious SQL code. No CVSS score or vendor advisory is currently available, and no patch or remediation information has been provided.

Potential Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could allow authenticated users with subscriber or higher privileges to manipulate or tamper with booking consent records of other users via SQL injection. This could lead to unauthorized data modification or disclosure within the affected plugin's database tables. There is no indication of known active exploits in the wild at this time.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict subscriber-level user privileges where possible and monitor for suspicious activity related to booking consent records. Avoid granting unnecessary permissions to untrusted users.
