Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-18232 is an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200) in the WP Directory Kit WordPress plugin through version 1.5.7. The plugin fails to verify the status or ownership of listings before returning their content through a public AJAX endpoint. As a result, unauthenticated attackers can retrieve draft and unapproved listings belonging to other users, potentially exposing sensitive or private information.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can read draft and unapproved listings of other users, which may include sensitive or private data not intended for public access. This exposure could lead to privacy violations or information leakage within affected WordPress sites using the vulnerable plugin versions.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the AJAX endpoints if possible or disable the WP Directory Kit plugin to prevent unauthorized information disclosure.
