Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-18548 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Groundhogg — CRM, Newsletters, and Marketing Automation plugin for WordPress. The flaw exists due to insufficient sanitization and escaping of the 'ref' parameter in all versions up to and including 4.5.14. Potential Impact
The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary scripts in users' browsers when they visit pages containing the injected 'ref' parameter. This can lead to information disclosure or manipulation of user sessions. The CVSS score of 7.2 (high) reflects the network attack vector, low attack complexity, no privileges or user interaction required, and impact on confidentiality and integrity.
