Until a fix is available, organizations should consider restricting network access to backup servers and monitoring for unusual network activity related to backup processes.
Description
IBM API Connect versions 10.0.8.0 through 10.0.8.12 and 12.1.0.0 through 12.1.1.2 contain a vulnerability where the backup server's identity is not properly verified during secure connection establishment for analytics backups. This improper certificate validation could allow a network-positioned attacker to intercept backup data and potentially credentials if used.
