Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-19226 is a stored XSS vulnerability in the Royal Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin. The issue arises because some widget settings are not validated before being rendered inside HTML attributes, enabling users with Contributor or higher privileges to inject malicious scripts. This vulnerability affects versions prior to 1.7.1066. The CVSS 3.1 base score is 6.8, indicating a medium severity with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability if exploited. No official patch or remediation details are currently available.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows an attacker with Contributor or higher privileges to perform stored XSS attacks, potentially leading to arbitrary script execution in the context of other users. This can compromise user sessions, deface content, or perform actions on behalf of victims. The impact is rated medium based on the CVSS score and the requirement for elevated privileges.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict Contributor and higher roles from untrusted users and monitor for suspicious activity related to widget settings inputs.
