Technical Analysis

This vulnerability (CWE-306) in onPhase Forms 11.0.14 arises from missing authentication checks in the public onPhase/frevvo registration form. An attacker can bypass authentication mechanisms by crafting registration parameters containing a valid tenant name and an existing user identifier, thereby gaining unauthorized access with elevated privileges and the ability to execute arbitrary OS commands.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation grants unauthenticated attackers TenantAdmin and Designer privileges, enabling full administrative control over the tenant environment and the capability to execute arbitrary operating system commands, which could lead to complete system compromise.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the affected registration form and monitor for suspicious activity related to tenant registration parameters.
