AI-suggested

The vendor advisory does not explicitly state that a fix is available or provide fixed versions. Until a fix is released, organizations should limit administrator logins to trusted clients and monitor for suspicious token reuse. Applying mitigations that restrict client access and token exposure may reduce risk. Customers with Red Hat Technical Account Managers can consult them for tailored advice.

Description

CVE-2026-19688 is a vulnerability in the Admin REST API of Red Hat Build of Keycloak where the API fails to verify the intended audience of bearer tokens. This flaw allows an attacker who controls a client within a realm to capture an administrator's access token and reuse it to perform unauthorized administrative actions, potentially compromising the entire realm. Exploitation requires an administrator to log into a compromised client, making the attack scenario somewhat constrained. The vulnerability is rated with a CVSS score of 6.8 (medium severity).
