Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-19824 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the Tenda W20E device firmware 15.11.0.6(1068_1546_841)_CN_TDC. The vulnerable function ipMacBindListStore, located in /goform/addIpMacBind, improperly handles the IPMacBindRule argument, allowing remote attackers to trigger a buffer overflow. This flaw can be exploited without user interaction and requires low attack complexity and privileges. Exploit code has been publicly released, increasing the risk of attacks.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation can lead to remote code execution or denial of service on the affected device. Given the remote attack vector and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability, this vulnerability poses a significant risk to affected Tenda W20E devices.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the device management interface and monitor for suspicious activity related to IPMacBindRule manipulation.
