AI-suggested

A fix is available in the Linux kernel as indicated by the fixed commit versions. Users and administrators should update to a kernel version that includes these fixes. No additional mitigation steps are indicated or necessary beyond applying the official patch.

Description

A race condition vulnerability in the Linux kernel's espintcp_close() function was discovered and fixed. The issue occurs because espintcp_tx_work() can be scheduled after cancel_work_sync() is called, potentially causing use-after-free of espintcp context or socket structures. The fix replaces cancel_work_sync() with disable_work_sync() to prevent this race.
