A fix is available and has been applied in multiple Linux kernel commits. Users and administrators should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to mitigate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation actions are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
A race condition in the Linux kernel's PCI endpoint driver dwc causes a PCI posted write for MSI-X interrupts to potentially complete after its associated ATU entry is unmapped. This can lead to host memory corruption or IOMMU errors. The issue arises because writel() returns before the PCI write completes, and the unmapping of the ATU entry races with the write. The vulnerability has been fixed by flushing the write with a readl() before unmapping the ATU entry.
