AI-suggested
A fix is available that properly synchronizes IRQ handlers before suspending the GPU by calling synchronize_irq() in the runtime PM suspend callback and removing improper runtime PM calls in the IRQ handler. Users should update to patched Linux kernel versions that include this fix. Patch status is confirmed by the resolved vulnerability description. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/imagination driver was resolved that involved improper synchronization of interrupts before suspending the GPU. The runtime power management suspend callback did not wait for IRQ handlers on other CPU cores to finish, potentially causing kernel crashes due to access of GPU registers during suspension. The issue could lead to kernel panics on affected systems. This vulnerability has a medium severity rating and affects specific Linux kernel versions.
