AI-suggested

Upgrade RedisTimeSeries to version 1.12.14 or later, where this vulnerability is patched. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the RESTORE command using Access Control List (ACL) rules to prevent unauthorized execution of this command.

Description

CVE-2026-25588 is a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in RedisTimeSeries versions prior to 1.12.14. It arises from improper validation of serialized values processed via the Redis RESTORE command. An authenticated attacker with permission to execute RESTORE can supply a crafted payload that triggers invalid memory access, potentially leading to remote code execution. The issue is fixed in RedisTimeSeries version 1.12.14.
