Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the vulnerable service and validate or sanitize input parameters where possible to mitigate exploitation risk.
Description
OpenBMB XAgent versions 1.0.0 and earlier contain a path traversal vulnerability in the file() function located in XAgent/XAgentServer/application/routers/workspace.py. The vulnerability arises because the user-controllable 'filename' parameter is concatenated into a file path without proper validation. This flaw allows an attacker to read arbitrary files on the system, potentially disclosing sensitive information. The vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS score of 7.5. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently provided.
