AI-suggested

Upgrade Traccar to version 6.13.0 or later, where the CSV export functionality properly escapes formula elements to prevent injection. No other mitigation is required as the issue is fixed in this official release.

Description

Traccar versions 6.11.1 through 6.12.x have a vulnerability in their CSV export feature where user-controlled data is written without proper escaping. This allows attackers to inject spreadsheet formulas into exported CSV files. When such a file is opened by a manager or administrator in spreadsheet software, the formulas can execute, potentially leading to command execution or data exfiltration. The issue is fixed in version 6.13.0.
