Technical Analysis

This vulnerability (CWE-770) in Teldat's Regesta Smart HD-PLC - TLDPH16D2 version 11.02.05.10.02 allows an attacker with network access and no authentication required to launch a Slow Loris attack. The attack exploits the lack of resource allocation limits or throttling in the device's web interface, leading to denial of service by exhausting available resources.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation results in denial of service on the device's web interface, potentially disrupting management or monitoring capabilities. The CVSS 4.0 base score is 6.9 (medium severity), reflecting network attack vector, no privileges or user interaction required, and limited impact on availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or remediation level has been published by the vendor as of now. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, consider limiting network exposure of the device's web interface and monitoring for abnormal connection patterns indicative of Slow Loris attacks.
