AI-suggested
- Apply patches or updates from wgcloud vendors as soon as they become available to address CVE-2026-30403.
- If patches are not yet released, restrict network access to the backend database management interface, limiting it to trusted internal networks or VPNs.
- Implement strict input validation and sanitization on all user-supplied parameters, especially those related to file paths, to prevent path traversal attacks.
- Employ web application firewalls (WAFs) with rules designed to detect and block path traversal attempts targeting the test connection function.
- Conduct regular security audits and code reviews focusing on file handling functions within wgcloud components.
- Monitor logs for unusual file access patterns or repeated failed attempts to access sensitive files.
- Enforce the principle of least privilege on the server filesystem to minimize the impact of arbitrary file reads.
- Educate system administrators and developers about this vulnerability and encourage prompt incident response readiness.
Description
