What to do
AI-suggested
Until an official fix is available, it is recommended to restrict access to the affected application, implement web application firewalls with rules to detect and block suspicious input targeting the session() function, and monitor for unusual activity. Avoid exposing the vulnerable CMS to untrusted networks. Do not rely on generic mitigations unless specifically advised by the vendor.
Description
Slah CMS version 1.5.0 and earlier contains a critical remote code execution vulnerability in the session() function within config.php. This flaw allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code remotely via crafted input. The vulnerability is identified as CWE-94, indicating improper control of code generation. The CVSS score is 9.8, reflecting a critical severity with network attack vector, no required privileges or user interaction, and full confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact. No patch or official remediation guidance is currently available. There are no known exploits in the wild at this time.
