Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel dmaengine idxd driver could cause a crash when the event log is disabled. The issue occurs if the hardware does not support reporting errors to the event log and an error causing a Function Level Reset (FLR) is received. The driver attempts to restore or free the event log even if it was never allocated, leading to a crash. This flaw has been fixed in the Linux kernel.
