A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a patched kernel version that includes the fix for this vulnerability. Specific affected versions include multiple 3.11.x to 3.13.x kernel builds as listed. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official patch.
Description
A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AMD GPU display driver (amdgpu_dm) was fixed. The issue occurred when a sink was connected and the drm_edid pointer was overwritten without freeing the previous allocation, causing a memory leak on resume. This has been resolved by freeing the previous drm_edid before updating it.
