AI-suggested
A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel by changing the PASID allocation method to prevent immediate reuse. Users should apply the updated kernel versions containing this fix. Since this is a kernel-level fix, upgrading to a patched kernel release is the recommended remediation. Patch status is confirmed by the presence of the fix commit referenced in the description.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/amdgpu component involving improper reuse of PASID (Process Address Space ID) has been resolved. The issue could cause interrupt problems when a process immediately reuses a PASID that was still associated with pending page faults from a previous process. This was addressed by changing the PASID allocator to a cyclic allocator similar to the kernel's PID allocator. The vulnerability has a medium severity rating with a CVSS score of 5.5 and affects specific Linux kernel versions.
