A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions to resolve this issue. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this vulnerability has been fixed. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions as provided by their distribution.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Open vSwitch (OVS) network subsystem could lead to a general protection fault due to premature release of network device resources during teardown. This occurs when the netdev_destroy() callback proceeds before the unregistration completes, potentially causing kernel crashes. The issue has been addressed in patched kernel versions.
