Description
A use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability in the Linux kernel driver core was fixed by adopting the generic driver_override infrastructure to ensure proper locking. The issue arose because the bus' match() callback was called without holding the device lock, leading to unsafe access to the driver_override field during driver probing.
