A fix is available for this vulnerability in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the updated kernel versions that include the patch to resolve this issue. Since this is not a cloud service, remediation requires updating affected Linux kernel versions.
Description
A medium severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel SMB server component was resolved by correcting how stream data transfer messages are handled during immediate (empty) sends. The flaw caused corruption of the stream of reassembled data transfer messages. The fix introduces a single 'batch' credit per connection to properly manage message sending and prevent corruption.
