AI-suggested
A patch is available for this vulnerability. Users should update their linux-hwe-edge kernel to versions 6.8.0-1064.72~22.04.1 or later, or the corresponding fixed versions listed in the advisory. After updating, a system reboot is required to apply the fix. Additionally, due to an ABI change, third-party kernel modules must be recompiled and reinstalled. Follow the vendor's update instructions carefully to ensure full remediation.
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/platform/uv: Handle deconfigured sockets When a socket is deconfigured, it's mapped to SOCK_EMPTY (0xffff). This causes a panic while allocating UV hub info structures. Fix this by using NUMA_NO_NODE, allowing UV hub info structures to be allocated on valid nodes.
