AI-suggested

A patch is available that increases the ASB control polling timeout and improves the polling mechanism in the bcm2835-power driver. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue has been resolved in updated kernel packages. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the patch.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's bcm2835-power driver caused the ASB bridge handshake to intermittently fail during intensive workloads on BCM2711 hardware. This failure could leave the V3D power domain in a broken state, potentially causing bus faults or system hangs during runtime power management suspend operations. The issue was addressed by increasing the polling timeout and improving the polling mechanism.
