An official fix is available and should be applied. The issue is resolved in updated Linux kernel versions. Users should update to patched kernel releases to remediate this vulnerability.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's vidtv media driver caused state corruption and memory leaks when the start_streaming function failed during feed startup. The nfeeds counter was incremented despite no feed starting, leading to inconsistent driver state and resource leaks. This issue has been fixed by ensuring the nfeeds counter is decremented on failure to keep state consistent.
