AI-suggested

A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue has been fixed. Users should update their Linux kernel to a fixed version to mitigate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation actions are specified beyond applying the official fix.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Open vSwitch (openvswitch) component was resolved, where the validate_set() function improperly accepted variable-sized MPLS payloads for SET/SET_MASKED actions instead of fixed-size MPLS key data. This flaw could allow malformed MPLS action payloads to be processed, potentially leading to denial of service or other impacts. The issue affects multiple specific Linux kernel versions and has been addressed by rejecting invalid MPLS action payload lengths early.
