What to do
AI-suggested
A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel by correcting the buffer size used in dma_alloc_coherent and memcpy functions within the nvmem zynqmp_nvmem driver. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. Patch status is not explicitly confirmed in the provided data; therefore, verify the vendor advisory or Linux kernel release notes for the exact fixed versions and apply updates accordingly.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's nvmem subsystem for zynqmp_nvmem involved incorrect buffer size usage in DMA allocation and memcpy operations. This flaw could cause undersized DMA buffer access, leading to potential memory corruption. The issue has been fixed by correcting the buffer size used in dma_alloc_coherent and memcpy calls.
