Technical Analysis

This vulnerability in Oracle Coherence (Oracle Fusion Middleware component) allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access over HTTP to compromise the product fully, resulting in complete takeover. The vulnerability affects specific versions: 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0, 14.1.2.0.0, and 15.1.1.0.0. The CVSS 3.1 score is 10.0 with vector AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H, indicating network attack vector, low complexity, no privileges or user interaction required, scope change, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Oracle’s June 2026 Critical Security Patch Update advisory addresses this vulnerability among many others and strongly recommends applying patches promptly. No direct patch links for this CVE were provided in the input, and no known exploits in the wild have been reported. Temporary mitigations include blocking required network protocols and removing unnecessary privileges, though these may affect functionality.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to take over Oracle Coherence, impacting confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the system. The vulnerability also has a scope change, meaning it may affect additional Oracle products relying on Oracle Coherence. The CVSS score of 10.0 reflects critical severity with full compromise possible. No known exploits in the wild have been reported yet.

Mitigation Recommendations

Oracle strongly recommends applying the June 2026 Critical Security Patch Update promptly to address this vulnerability. Although no direct patch link for CVE-2026-35307 was provided, the advisory includes patches for Oracle Coherence and related products. Until patches are applied, risk may be reduced by blocking network protocols required for exploitation and removing unnecessary privileges or access to vulnerable components, understanding these actions may disrupt application functionality. Customers should follow Oracle’s official advisory at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspujun2026.html for detailed patch availability and installation instructions.
