Upgrade Cacti to version 1.2.31 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched. No other mitigation is necessary as the fix addresses the root cause by properly blocking special shell characters in input strings.
Description
CVE-2026-39902 is an OS command injection vulnerability in Cacti, an open source performance and fault management framework. Versions prior to 1.2.31 have an incomplete blocklist for special shell characters, allowing an authenticated admin to inject commands via crafted input strings. This flaw has been fixed in version 1.2.31.
