A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed kernel version that includes the patch rejecting sleepable kprobe_multi programs at attach time. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's BPF subsystem allowed sleepable kprobe_multi programs to be attached, which is invalid because kprobe.multi programs run in atomic/RCU context and cannot sleep. This flaw could cause kernel crashes due to sleeping functions being called from invalid contexts. The issue has been fixed by rejecting sleepable programs at attach time.
