AI-suggested
A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel source code as indicated by the listed commit hashes. Users and administrators should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to remediate the vulnerability. Since this is not a cloud service, manual patching is required. No additional mitigation steps are specified by the vendor advisory.
Description
CVE-2026-43051 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's wacom driver affecting version 3.3. The flaw involves an out-of-bounds read in the wacom_intuos_bt_irq() function when processing Bluetooth HID reports without sufficient length checks. Specifically, reports with IDs 0x03 and 0x04 require minimum lengths of 22 and 32 bytes respectively, but the function did not enforce these checks, allowing a crafted short report to trigger the issue. The vulnerability has been fixed by adding explicit length checks and logging warnings for short reports.
