Description

CVE-2026-43067 is a critical vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ext4 file system handling. It involves improper handling of wraparound conditions when searching for blocks for indirect mapped blocks. This flaw can lead to allocation of blocks beyond the intended 32-bit limit, potentially causing memory corruption or data integrity issues. The issue arises in scenarios where a file system contains both extent-mapped and indirect-block mapped files. A safety clamp was added in ext4_mb_scan_groups() to address this problem.
