AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel after version 5.16, as indicated by the fixed commit hashes. Users should update their Linux kernel to a version including these fixes to mitigate the vulnerability.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC SOF Intel HDA driver could cause a NULL pointer dereference due to a mismatch between DAI links in the machine driver and the topology. This occurs when playback or capture widgets are not set, particularly in loopback capture scenarios using dummy DAI links. The issue has been fixed by returning an error when the widget is not set, preventing the NULL pointer dereference.
