A fix is available that corrects the device cleanup order in the wave5 driver. Users should update to a patched Linux kernel version that includes this fix to prevent kernel panics caused by this issue.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's chips-media wave5 driver caused kernel panics due to improper device cleanup order. The issue occurred because video devices were unregistered after powering down the hardware, allowing a worker thread to access powered-off hardware registers, resulting in a synchronous external abort and kernel panic. This has been resolved by moving video device unregistration to the beginning of the remove function to ensure all video operations stop before hardware power down.
